Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
