The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
HAS THERE [not] been an endless span of time before man [appeared - a time] when he was not yet a thing to be thought of? 1 Verily We created man from a sperm yoked (to the ovum) to bring out his real substance, then gave him hearing and sight. 2 Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful. 3 [Now,] behold, for those who deny the truth, We have prepared chains, iron collars and a blazing fire, but 4 the righteous shall drink from a cup mixed with the coolness of kafur, 5 From a fountain whence the bondmen of Allah will drink, causing it to gush abundantly. 6 They fulfil their vows, and fear a day whose evil is upon the wing; 7 They feed the destitute, orphans, and captives for the love of God, saying, 8 (saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you any recompense or thanks, 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 Therefore Allah will guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet with ease and happiness; 11 And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient. 12 Reclining there upon couches, they shall see neither the sun nor the moon. 13 Near them shall be its shades with its clusters hung gently down, 14 Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass 15 and gleaming silver goblets which have been filled to the exact measure, 16 There are they watered with a cup whereof the mixture is of Zanjabil, 17 Which is a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. 18 ۞ There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. 19 And when you look towards it, you will see serenity and a great kingdom. 20 Upon them there will be garments of green silk, rich brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will give them a pure beverage to drink. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
