Truly, it is We who have revealed to you the Quran, a gradual revelation. 23 Wherefore persevere thou with the commandment of thy Lord, and obey not thou of them, any sinner or ingrate. 24 And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]. 25 And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer). 26 Indeed these people love what they have, the fleeting one, and have forsaken the immensely important day behind them. 27 It is We Who creared them and made them firm of make. And whenever We list, We can replace them with others like unto them. 28 This chapter is a reminder. Let those who want, seek guidance from their Lord. 29 Yet ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise. 30 He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment. 31
