Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
