Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
