Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
