Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
