Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
