Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
