THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
