Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
