Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
