Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the white forenoon 1 and the brooding night! 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
