Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
