Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
