Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
