Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
