۞ Say: "O creatures of God, those of you who have acted against your own interests should not be disheartened of the mercy of God. Surely God forgives all sins. He is all-forgiving and all-merciful. 53 And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped. 54 And ere that suffering comes upon you of a sudden, without your being aware [of its approach,] follow the most goodly [teaching] that has been revealed unto you by your Sustainer, 55 So that no soul may say, “Alas! The failures that I committed regarding Allah – and indeed I used to mock!” 56 and lest a person should say: “If only Allah had guided me, I should have been one of the God-fearing”; 57 Or (lest) he should say when he sees the torment: "If only I had another chance (to return to the world) then I should indeed be among the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112)." 58 Why, My revelations had come to you, but you denied them and were filled with pride, and were among the disbelievers. 59 On the Day of Resurrection you shall see that the faces of those who had lied against Allah have turned dark. Is Hell not vast enough to provide a room to the vainglorious? 60 And Allah delivereth those who ward off (evil) because of their deserts. Evil toucheth them not, nor do they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs. 62 He has the keys of the heavens and the earth; and those who deny the revelations of God will be losers. 63
