Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
