Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
