Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
