Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
