Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
