Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
