Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
