Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
