The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ OF WHAT ARE they asking one another? 1 About the Great News 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Again surely yes, they will soon come to know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 and made your sleep a means of repose, 9 made the night as a covering, 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 And We have builded over you seven strong heavens. 12 And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun). 13 And from the wind-driven clouds We send down waters pouring in abundance, 14 That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation 15 and thick gardens grow? 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The day the trumpet blast is sounded you will come in hordes; 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 and when the mountains are made to vanish as if they had been a mirage. 20 Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 They will abide therein for ages, 23 they shall taste in it no coolness, nor any pleasant drink 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 An appropriate recompense. 26 They did not expect such a Judgment 27 and they absolutely belied Our verses, 28 but We have recorded everything in a Book. 29 (They will be told), "Suffer, We shall only increase the torment for you". 30

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
