The News (Al-Naba')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ What do they question each other about! 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 No indeed; they shall soon know! 4 Nay, again, they will come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a bed, 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 made sleep for you to rest, 9 And made the night a cover. 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven firmaments, 12 And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour? 13 And We have sent down from the rain-clouds water plenteous. 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 And gardens of thick growth. 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates, 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 In it shall they remain for a long time. 23 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink 24 save boiling water and wash of the wounds; 25 Requital corresponding. 26 Indeed they had no fear of the account. 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 Everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30
