The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
