The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
