The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And who glide with ease. 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
