The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 then he mustered 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
