Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgement?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
