The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
