The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
