Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 high above? 28 And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 and the mountains He set firm, 32 [all this] as a means of sustenance for you and your animals? 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 that blazing fire will truly be the goal! 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? 43 Its knowledge rests with your Lord. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
