Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state. 28 He has made its nights dark and its days bright. 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 And the mountains He has fixed firmly; 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Then, when the Great Catastrophe comes 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 And hell will be made visible to all those who can see. 36 Then he who had been rebellious 37 preferring the present life, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But as for him who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts. 40 Verily the Garden! that shall be his resort. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 It shall be as if; on the day they see it, they have but tarried for an evening, or its forenoon. 46
