▼ 79 The Snatchers
Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 A provision for you and your cattle. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 So as for he who transgressed 37 and prefers the life of this world, 38 will find himself in Hell; 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about the Hour, - when will be its appointed time? 42 Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 Thou art but [sent] to warn those who stand in awe of it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
