He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and who has fear of God, 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted and purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Some faces on that Day shall be beaming with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
