He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and fearfully, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We send down abundant water, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
