The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
