The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
