The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night swarming, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
