The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
