The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
