The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
