Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
