The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
