Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 and we glorify God". 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
