The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
